Foxton picked up their first victory of the season, after a hard fought 1-0 win against Milton, away from home.
Foxton started well and had most of the early running, without taking advantage. Kaane should’ve scored on 17 mins, but the keeper saved his shot from close range.
Stan then headed wide from Alfie’s corner on the right side.
Liam then broke down the right side and flashed a ball across the goal but Chris’s outstretched leg, could only divert the ball over the bar.
After this flurry of openings, Milton broke well and had penalty shout turned down. Then moments later, missed a header from a corner of their own.

The home side started the second half better, and enjoyed some good early possession, with Foxton having to dig in to ride the storm. Louis saved well at the near post on one occasion and a couple of good blocks from the back line, kept them at bay.
On about 70 mins, Foxton were dealt a blow, when Kaane received a straight red card for a tackle, that the official judged worthy of the punishment.
Foxton now had to dig in once again and they did that very well, keeping Milton down to half chances at best. A shot from distance was saved well by Louis, tipping the ball over the bar.
Foxton got the only, and winning goal of the game, late on, when Alfie picked up the ball on the left-hand side and cut inside, unleashing a curling shot from 25 yards which flew nicely in the far top corner, giving the home keeper no chance.
Foxton saw out the remaining couple of minutes, to pick up the 3 points.
