Chairman's Statement
Mick Pratt
With over 100 years behind us, Foxton FC has a history of producing quality sides competing at the highest level our facilities will allow.

With an award-winning playing surface we encourage youth level players to progress through the Reserve XI and establish themselves within the First Team, some of whom move on to senior amateur status.

It is an absolute privilege to chair the hardest working committee in Cambridgeshire composing of former players and managers, life-long supporters and even current playing staff.

We actively promote an atmosphere of inclusiveness, competitiveness and fair play to make Foxton Football Club the envy of many a club in Cambridgeshire.

The Club

Records show that Foxton played in the County Junior Shield in 1908-10 and the County League in 1910-11.

A Foxton and District football league was formed in 1920, with local teams playing in an invitation cup competition for clubs within about 6 miles from Foxton. The cup was first presented in 1921 by Captain Cuthbert Foster of Foxton Hall, from where the Foster Cup took its name.

The Club has played at the village recreation ground now since the 1950’s and before that games took place on land provided by farmers within and around the village. The Rec is public land and its excellent surface is also enjoyed by Foxton kid’s football team ‘Dynamo Foxton’, the cricket club and for village community activities.

Andy Cambridge of Foxton FC was awarded Cambs FA groundsman of the year in 2003 and 2020, and runner up in 2019. Andy also won the prestigious, I.O.G – National Volunteer of the Year, in 2019, for his work on the recreation ground.

Foxton Football Club is a registered Charter Standard Community Club.
