Foxton crashed out of the League Cup on Saturday, after losing a penalty shoot-out against Wisbech St Mary.
The game ended 2-2 at Full Time. There really wasn’t much to note, after a dull affair with neither side really flourishing with their play.
Wisbech took the lead on 10 mins.
Jake levelled for Foxton after closing-down the keeper and deflecting his clearance straight back into the goal.
1-1 HT
Second half wasn’t much better, although Foxton took the lead from a Jake penalty, after Jack D had been fouled in the box.
The visitors drew level on about 85 mins with a good finish from the edge of the box.
2-2 FT
The lottery of the shoot-out unfolded, and it was St Mary who went through, after 5 well taken penalties. Unfortunately, Kaane missed our first pen, which proved the turning point in the end.
