Foxton lost their second game on the bounce, going down 3-0 to Over Sports.
Foxton started well and dominated the first half, without really creating any clear-cut chances. Jack Davis had two well taken free kicks excellently saved by the Over keeper. Evers had a strong performance on left side and put several good balls into the Over box without anybody getting on the end of them. Over had a chance at the back post but their shot went over. Jack D was really in the action and had another effort saved after a strong run and shot goal-wards but again, it was saved. Just before half time, Over, took the lead from the spot after Josh Byrne had fouled an Over forward.
Foxton were again in the ascendancy early in the second half and looked to have equalised, when the Over keeper spilt a shot from distance, which looked to have comfortably crossed the line, but the referee and lino were not in position to give it.
Over then scored a second from close range, after a ball across the box was comfortably finished. Things went from bad to worse for Foxton, when Luca was put in the sin bin for showing his frustration at a decision his side didn’t get. Moments later, Graver received a straight red card for a challenge on an Over player, again, probably through his own frustration for an earlier incident.
Over kept the ball away from their goal and against 9 men, didn’t really come under much threat. Foxton's misery was compounded in the last few minutes, when Skipper Gwynne was also put in the sin bin, again frustration at a decision against his side, being the cause. Then, the very impressive Stuart Hoskins, unfortunately headed an Over cross into his own net, to give a 0-3, end score line.
Lessons to be learnt here, as the sin bins and red cards didn’t help at all and in all fairness, contributed towards the result.
