Foxtons league campaign got underway on Tuesday evening against Great Shelford.
The visitors started on the front foot and maintained control throughout the half, taking in a deserved 2 goal lead.
Foxton started the second half better but a soft third goal on about 55 mins, as good as killed the game off.
The home side looked dangerous from set plays but on every occasion - and there were a few - their headers constantly went the wrong side of the cross bar.
Shelford themselves had more chances, hitting the woodwork and a couple of skied efforts when in good positions.
Foxton had no answer and failed to create anything of real substance in open play.
Shelford saw the game out well and picked up a deserved 3 points.
